Swans, geese and a wide variety of duck species inhabit or pass through Northern California. The Pacific Flyway is a year round source of wonder, and many fine opportunities to see these birds in large numbers exist in the managed wetlands of the Central Valley of California, western Oregon and Washington. Witnessing 2000 Snow Geese lift off from a quiet lake is a moment not to be forgotten.
