There is a special fascination with the larger species of birds - cranes, herons, egrets, ibis and others. Perhaps it is because they move slower and are easier to see than many smaller birds. Perhaps it is their grace in flight, their amazing skill at fishing, catching a frog or a golpher. Perhaps it is their majestic presence that humbles us for a moment…..until they move on.
